Real Estate Courses
Bill Cantey is a Senior Instructor on the national faculty of the CCIM
Institute, the commercial affiliate of the National Association of Realtors.
He has been teaching courses required for the CCIM designation since 1987.
He also teaches for the SC Association of Realtors in the GRI program.
He has served as President of the South Carolina Association of Realtors
and as President of the South Carolina CCIM Chapter. He has been selected
as Senior Instructor of the Year in all of the courses he has taught.
These include CI 101 Financial Analysis for Commercial Investment
Real Estate in 1999, CI 301 (now CI 104) Investment Analysis
for Commercial Investment Real Estate in 1995 and again in 2003
and CI 404 Tax Planning for Commercial Real Estate in 1992.
In 2004, Bill won the Robert L. Ward, Instructor of the Year Award, given by his peers to the most outstanding instructor on the CCIM Institute's faculty.
Bill graduated from Davidson College with a B.A. degree in Economics and
from Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration with
a M.B.A. degree in Finance. Bill speaks from experience since he has been
the sole owner or a general partner in numerous real estate ventures including
office buildings, shopping centers, apartments, duplexes, single family
houses, warehouses and undeveloped land. He also owns Cantey Mortgage
Company, Inc., which is involved in buying and selling existing purchase
money mortgages.
